ITT I Play Hector Hard Mode (part 18)

Chapter 23x: Genesis Does What Nintendon't

Units Deployed:
Hector, Hawkeye, Eliwood, Ninian, Oswin, Heath, Canas, Lucius

New Units:
None

Chapter Summary:
This is without any doubt one of the toughest maps in the game. This is the first map in the game where siege magic and status staves start appearing en masse, and if that wasn't bad enough, aside from the reinforcements, every enemy on the map is promoted.

In particular, sages are probably the most dangerous enemies here, with 18 magic giving the two Bolting users 30 attack and the sleep/silence users having 9 staff range. Bishops are a bit less threatening, possessing around 6 less attack with Purge and having 2 less range with status staves. While the sorcerers are a joke at long range (since Eclipse is a piece of shit and none of them have status staves), they are absolute monsters close up with their Luna books doing upwards of 20 damage with 26 crit.

The map itself is also one of the more difficult maps to get through. The player is split into two 4 man squads that have to traverse a 5 x 5 room floor with locked doors and 30 HP walls. If the player forgot to buy door keys (like I did), then it is highly recommended to bring a thief. Oh yeah, bring chest keys too, since there's some pretty nice stuff in the chests here.

Kishuna makes his second appearance, and once again, his magic seal is mostly beneficial to the player, as enemy magic users will be rendered inert if they're in his magic seal. However, slower units might be hard pressed to double them, as they will automatically unequip their magic if inside the seal (the enemies here average 11 AS when unequipped). Also, Kishuna will move around the map, allowing some of the enemy units to exit his seal and start attacking the party, so it is still vital that the siege magic users and status staff users are taken out ASAP.

Kishuna will leave the map automatically on turn 5, leaving behind his four promoted bodyguards. However, if the player attacks him before then, he will leave the map after being attacked, and leaving behind 4 unpromoted magic users with some pretty nice stuff (If the door was somehow opened before he leaves, he leaves behind 4 unpromoted melee units with silvers). Regardless of how he disappears, all the doors and cracked walls will disappear.

For those who were wondering why I was rigging Oswin's level ups so he'd gain an abnormal amount of resistance, this map (and a later one) is why. With 42 HP/14 res, Oswin is 3HKO'd at worst by every single enemy on the map outside of the Luna sorcerers, and with a pure water boost, even the Nosferatu sorcerers can only manage a 4HKO on him (Bolting sages 5HKO him). It also makes him highly resistant to being slept or berserked.

Turn By Turn Analysis:
Turn 1: Eliwood and Heath break down the wall in room C-1. Ninian dances Canas, who then kills the Luna sorc in room B-1. Lucius unlocks the door in room E-2. Hector busts down the wall while Oswin and Hawkeye chug down pure waters.
EP: Canas dodges a Purge. Hector gets hit by a Bolting.

Turn 2: Eli and Heath break down the wall leading to room A-1. Canas kills the bishop in this room. Oswin moves into room E-3 and kills the Bolting sage. Hawkeye kills the Nosferatu sorc.
EP: The two status staff users try to incapacitate Lucius, but miss.

Turn 3: Canas opens the door to B-2. Eli kills the sage there, then he and Heath break down the wall leading into A-2. Hawkeye opens the door to E-4 while Oswin breaks down the wall leading into D-4. Hector chugs down a pure water.
EP: Hector kills the bishop and gets chipped by the second Purge bishop. Lucius dodges another sleep staff while Oswin chips the silence sage.

Turn 4: Hawkeye and Hector kill the two status staff sages while Oswin kills the Purge bishop. Heath chucks a javelin at Kishuna, who then leaves. Eli then kills the purge bishop and Heath kills the Luna druid in room A-2. Canas kills the dark mage.
EP: Canas kills the two other unpromoted reinforcements. The bishop tries to attack Ninian, but misses. Hector gets attacked by the two Eclipse sorcs.

Turn 5: Heath kills the C-2 bishop and the A-4 sorc with Ninian's help (and some healing from both Canas and Lucius). Oswin kills the remaining sage with Hawkeye's help.
EP: More Eclipse shenanigans.

Turn 6: I send Lucius back to deal with the dark mage reinforcements that spawned in room E-1. Heath heads down to room A-5. Hector kills the remaining Noferatu sorc. Hawkeye opens the berserk staff chest.
EP: The dark mage reinforcement attacks Merlinus. The mage reinforcement does on Canas.

Turn 7: Heath opens the silver blade chest. Hector kills the troubadour reinforcement. Oswin kills the last druid. Lucius kills another dark mage reinforcement while Canas kills another mage.
EP: The remaining dark mage attacks Merlinus.

Turn 8: I take out the last of the reinforcements. Oswin opens the secret book chest.

Turns Taken: 8/131

Ending Thoughts:
Heath reaches Lv15, finally capping str/def. Guess who's promoting next map?

Also, Eliwood and Hector have gained one level each, fulfilling the requirement to go to Linus's version of FFO.

Speaking of Hector, he's starting to get pretty close to Lv20, and unfortunately, he'll be stuck there for a bit, since he cannot promote until after Cog.

ITT I Play Hector Hard Mode (part 17)

Chapter 23: 1001 Nabatian Nights

Units Deployed:
Hector, Eliwood, Ninian, Heath, Florina, Canas, Lucius, Legault

New Units:

Hawkeye (Lv4 Berserker)
Bases: 50 HP/18 str/14 skl/11 spd/13 lck/14 def/10 res/16 con Axe A
Growths: 50 HP/40 str/30 skl/25 spd/40 lck/20 def/35 res
Supports: Pent, Louise, Ninian

Summary: Imagine Dorcas, but have him join as a prepromoted berserker during a midgame map. That's basically Hawkeye in a nutshell. While Hawkeye is one of the slowest units in the game, he hits like a tractor trailer and will basically never die. He also has a completely custom animation that one will not see other berserkers use. And that's always cool.

Chapter Summary:
Desert map. Most Fire Emblem player loathe desert maps with the passion of a thousand suns, and I'm going to be honest, I'm not much of an exception. Desert terrain has the effect of incurring movement penalties for most units (Most infantry units have a 2 move penalty, while most pony riders have a 4 move penalty. Armors and nomads have a 3 move penalty.), with only flying units and infantry magic users being unaffected.

Most of the enemy force here consists of magic users and wyvern riders that conveniently ignore desert terrain, and at this point in the game, it is improbable that the player has a flying unit or magic user of their own that can stand up to all of these enemies. The two bosses are both warriors packing 50+ HP and 30+ attack, making them quite threatening at close range. They're even more threatening when they're within close proximity of one another, since they have an A support with each other.

Oh yeah, this map also features fog of war. And that's always nice.

Like most desert maps in the Fire Emblem series, there are many hidden items to be found here. One can find a map of the hidden item locations here. It is highly recommended to bring a thief for this map, since thieves are guaranteed to pick up a hidden item (other unit types have a 10% chance of finding said item). There is also a celestial ring on one of the mages and a white gem on one of the bosses that can be mugged.

There is also an NPC unit on this map that the player is supposed to protect. Though in this case, Pent hardly needs protecting, as he is 3HKO'd at worst by every generic enemy on the map at sub-40 hit rates and can easily ORKO them. No, the real problem comes from stopping Pent from killing everything so the player can fulfill the gaiden requirement, as I'll explain in the next paragraph.

The last thing I will point out is the gaiden requirement. In order to unlock the next side chapter, the player must earn at least 700 exp across all of their units. This can be done by bringing at least 2 unpromoted units, since they gain exp at a faster rate than their promoted brethren. Also, one can gain cheap exp by using staves or Ninian's dance command. Just... make sure Pent doesn't end up killing everything.

Turn By Turn Analysis:
Turn 1: Legault moves next to the tent and lights a torch, picking up an ocean seal. Canas pops a mage while Lucius, Eli and Ninian head towards the non-desert portion of the map to take out some armors. Florina and Heath ferry Legault towards Canas's location.
EP: Canas chips the boss. He also kills a wyvern, a mage, and an archer. Lucius kills an armor, brigand, and archer. Heath kills another archer. Legault gets attacked by a wyvern. Many enemies attack Pent, including two wyverns that bring him to 9 HP.

Turn 2: Hector recruits Hawkeye. Canas and Lucius both chip Paul, allowing Heath to kill him. Hawkeye kills the wyvern that attacked Legault. Legault steals the celestial ring from the mage, who Florina kills.
EP: Eliwood kills a cav, then he and Ninian get surrounded by 3 more pony riders. Florina chips an archer while Lucius chips a monk. More enemies on the western side of the map die on Pent.

Turn 3: Heath kills a dark mage reinforcement. Florina kills the archer from earlier. Hector kills the monk while Eliwood and Lucius kill the pony riders from last turn. Lucius then gets danced by Ninian and promotes, ending his turn in Jasmine's range.
EP: Lucius draws in Jasmine (he either needed to dodge Jasmine or the archer to live this EP). Heath kills an archer. The longbow archer attacks Legault.

Turn 4: Florina kills the archer blocking Legault (I wanted Hector to kill him, but he whiffed one of the two hits needed), who then steals Jasmine's white gem. Hawkeye and Canas chip Jasmine, allowing Eliwood to kill him. Heath moves west, using a vulnerary.
EP: Heath chips 3 wyvern riders.

Turn 5: Florina pics up Legault, then gets danced and drops Legault. Heath kills one of the wyvern riders he chipped the previous turn. Eli and Ninian reach support C.
EP: Heath kills the two wyvern riders he chipped last EP and chips a third.

Turn 6: Leggy picks up the Filla's Might. Heath and Florina daisy chain him over the hull so he can pick up the body ring next turn.
EP: Heath kills the dark mage reinforcement. Florina further chips the wyvern.

Turn 7: Florina picks up Leggy and heads north after being danced.
EP: Heath tries to kill another dark mage reinforcement, but misses one of his attacks.

Turn 8: Leggy picks up the prism sword. Florina promotes, is danced by Ninian, then picks up Legault again. Heath kills the dark mage he missed previously.
EP: Heath and Pent clean up, ending the map.

Turns Taken: 8/123

Ending Thoughts:
Florina and Lucius both promoted over the course of this map, the former giving me an 8 move flying unit and the latter giving me a staffbot with innate Barrier/Restore. The latter will come in handy on the next map.

Heath went from Lv9 to Lv12 (almost Lv13) in the span of this one map. Just 206 more exp and he'll be ready to promote.

Eliwood also gained two levels, meaning that he, Lyn, and Hector need to gain two more levels between the three of them in order to fulfill the requirements to reach Geitz's version of FFO.

On another topic, I managed to get all the swag except for the hero crest (superfluous since both my hero crest users are promoted) and the Eclipse book (useless). Not bad.

ITT I Play Hector Hard Mode (part 16)

Chapter 22: Thria Fortress Defense

Units Deployed:
Hector, Eliwood, Lyn, Ninian, Oswin, Bartre, Sain, Florina, Canas, Lucius, Legault

New Units:

Isadora (Lv1 Paladin)
Bases: 28 HP/13 str/12 skl/16 spd/10 lck/8 def/6 res/6 con Swd A/Lnc B/Axe D
Growths: 70 HP/30 str/35 skl/50 spd/45 lck/20 def/25 res
Supports: Harken, Marcus, Lowen, Sain, Legault, Geitz, Renault

Summary: Isadora is basically Marcus if he traded bulk for speed (and a pair of tits) and joined 14 maps later. Her durability is just atrocious for a --/1 paladin, and her speed is wasted by a crappy 6 con. She's certainly not worth using over Kent or Sain, but is somewhat useful if one needs a filler.

Rath (Lv7 Nomad)
Bases: 25 HP/8 str/9 skl/10 spd/5 lck/7 def/2 res/7 con Bow C
Growths: 80 HP/50 str/40 skl/50 spd/30 lck/10 def/25 res
Supports: Lyn, Wil, Guy

Summary: A pony rider that uses bows. He's actually pretty decent if one looks past his latish join time and somewhat mediocre bases for this point in the game. However, his mount, combined with the fact that three of the next four maps predominantly feature wyverns, makes him better than Wil and Beccy put together.

Heath (Lv7 Wyvern Rider)
Bases: 31 HP/14 str/10 skl/9 spd/7 lck/12 def/2 res/9 res Lnc B
Growths: 80 HP/50 str/50 skl/45 spd/20 lck/30 def/20 res
Supports: Priscilla, Kent, Legault, Louise, Vaida

Summary: A dragon rider. Heath is usually underrated in tier lists, since unlike Florina and Fiora, he isn't a complete wuss at combat, no thanks to his 14 strength base and 31 HP/12 def bulk (helps that his growths in all three stats are above average by FE7 standards). He does pay for this slightly with a bad speed base, though he does have a decent growth there. His only real flaw is that he takes magic hits like a little bitch.

Chapter Summary:
The objective of this map is to protect Nils for 11 turns, a trivial task considering that Nils was placed in the back and isn't immediately threatened by anything. One can also end the map early by killing the turd named Eubans.

Many of the enemies on this map carry reaver weapons. Reaver weapons are special in that they can reverse the weapon triangle (e.g. an axereaver is strong against axes), and the WT bonuses are doubled when doing so. One way to deal with this is to use a weapon type that the reaver's weapon type would normally be good against (e.g. use a sword to fight an axereaver).

There is a secret shoppe in the northwest corner of the fortress that sells assorted staves, as well as chest keys and lockpicks. Be sure to visit it while the opportunity lasts.

Prior to starting the map, I promoted Bartre with the Chapter 21 hero crest.

Turn By Turn Analysis:
Turn 1: Oswin and Bartre move south and kill the two knights blocking the south exit. Eliwood and Ninian head west while Hector and Lyn head east. Isadora moves west as well, picking up Legault and trading over Ninian's silver and VIP cards.
EP: Bartre kills a cavalier and two nomads. Legault chips a wyvern.

Turn 2: Bartre kills a wyvern. Lucius kills the cavalier that Oswin whiffed last turn. Oswin kills a knight. Eli and Ninian continue west. Canas uses Isadora's seraph rope.
EP: Heath attacks Ninian. Hector and Sain kill the two swordreaver fighters to the east, as well as a WK. Legault kills the WK he weakened last turn as well as chipping another one. Bartre kills a nomad and a shaman.

Turn 3: Legault and Isa kill the enemies blocking Eli's path to Heath, who is then recruited. Lyn recruits Rath. Oswin, Bartre, Sain, Canas, and Lucius take out the knight, mage, cavalier, and two wyverns that the first two drew in last turn. Heath kills a fighter with Ninian's help.
EP: Bartre kills two knights and a fighter. Oswin helps kill mages. The thief pilfers the brave axe chest.

Turn 4: Heath kills the thief. Eliwood and Legault take out two of the mages and the cavalier reinforcement. Oswin's group continues to break through the southern reinforcements. Isa heads back to the secret shoppe. Hector and Lyn move south and kill a nomad.
EP: The south reinforcements continue to die on Bartre, Oswin, and Hector. Eliwood weakens a fighter and cavalier.

Turn 5: Eliwood kills the last mage. Heath kills the fighter reinforcement Eli weakened before getting danced by Ninian. Leggy and Sain move in to block the enemies from attacking Ninian. Hector and Lyn kill a nomad and fighter reinforcement, respectively.
EP: Leggy chips another fighter reinforcement. The cavalier attacks an NPC knight.

Turn 6: My main group continues to head south, killing reinforcements along the way. Leggy grabs the 10000 gold chest. Isa enters the secret shoppe and buys 2 chest keys, a lockpick, 3 physic staves, 4 torch staves, and 3 barrier staves.
EP: A WK attacks Lucius and dies. The E WK attacks the NPC merc, as do two archer reinforcements.

Turn 7: Oswin kills a nomad reinforcement. The party heads east to deal with Eubans.
EP: Oswin draws in Eubans. Heath also draws in a WK reinforcement, and the NPC merc kills a WK before the archers kill him. Florina kills a third archer.

Turn 8: Lucius kills the WK that Heath chipped. Eliwood heads W to kill a cavalier reinforcement. Oswin chips Eubans again, then Heath kills him.

Turns Taken: 8/115

Ending Thoughts:
Off to a good start, Heath.

I'm probably going to promote Lucius before the next map, especially considering it's desert, and I would like as many units that can ignore desert terrain as I can get away with. Plus I need extra healers.

As for why I gave Canas the robe, it makes his enemy phase combat a bit more reliable, which will definitely come into play next map.

ITT I Play Hector Hard Mode (part 15)

Chapter 21: Fire Emblem - A New Hope

Units Deployed:
Hector, Eliwood, Raven, Bartre, Canas, Florina, Priscilla, Legault

New Units:

Ninian (Lv1 Dancer)
Bases: 14 HP/0 str/0 skl/12 spd/10 lck/5 def/4 res/4 con --
Growths: 85 HP/5 str/5 skl/70 spd/80 lck/30 def/70 res
Supports: Eliwood, Florina, Hawkeye

Summary: Ninian is a dancer. Dancers can reinvigorate units, but can't attack. Ninian has some other utility beyond the standard dance; there are four special rings that, if used, will buff a unit's parameters by 10 for one turn. There is also another unit named Nils that one gets towards the endgame that is basically the same unit as Ninian, right down to the stats.

Chapter Summary:
The majority of enemies on this map carry poison weapons. Thankfully, they aren't really considered to be a threat since poison does a negligible 1-3 HP damage per turn, and poison weapons aren't very strong to begin with.

I suppose the only real threat on this map is the boss. Oleg is extremely threatening at close range, packing 29 attack and 35 crit with his killer axe, a crit from which equates to instant death for anyone not named Hector or Oswin.

There is also an arena on this map. I will be making use of this arena in the time I'm allowed to spend on this map, but I will not be doing any extensive arena abuse that one might see LPers like Boltage McGammar do.

Turn By Turn Analysis:
Turn 1: Florina heads west to deal with the two monks near the light rune house. Everyone else heads east. Legault uses a torch while Priscilla uses a torch staff use.
EP: Bartre takes out a pegasus knight. Florina kills the monk she didn't target on PP. Raven kills one of the wyverns and chips a second before his hand axe broke, then kills a monk with another hand axe.

Turn 2: Florina flies north and kills a third monk. Canas and Bartre remove the fliers that were blocking Hector and Raven's way.
EP: Raven kills three brigands, a monk, an archer, and a pegasus knight. Canas chips two wyverns and a monk. Bartre kills two monks.

Turn 3: Florina visits the light rune house. Canas and Bartre kill the two wyverns from earlier while Eli kills the monk. Bartre also goes into the arena.
EP: Raven draws in a peg and kills it.

Turn 4: Canas uses his celestial ring. Bartre and Eliwood use the arena. Florina visits the restore staff house while Hector visits the elysian whip house.
EP: n/a

Turn 5: Florina enters the armory and buys 2 each of iron sword, javelins, iron axes, and hand axes. Bartre enters the arena again.
EP: Raven draws in Oleg. He also kills two brigands and a monk.

Turn 6: Priscilla visits the wyrmslayer house. Bartre uses the arena a final time while Florina buys two pure waters. Legault steals Oleg's hero crest. Hector chips Oleg before Eli kills him.

Turns Taken: 6/109

Ending Thoughts:
After a rather long hiatus, I'm back.

Alright, first things first. Canas promoted using the Chapter 18 celestial ring, pushing his offense from decent to actually quite good thanks to the effective +4 AS that promotion gives. He can also use staves, another attribute that will become important in later maps.

Bartre has also reached Lv15, with capped strength, so he'll be promoting next map.

Not the greatest exp gain on Eliwood, but given how much he sucks, seems to be the norm for him. At least he killed the boss.

Oh yes, look forward to seeing more updates on this run, seeing as I'm suspended from DeviantArt for posting "inappropriate stuff". I'll talk about that in another thread. And no credit to the DeviantArt mods either.

Fucking Over A New Leaf

This took place on the night before Red left Kanto.

After becoming the Pokemon League Champion, disbanding the Team Rocket remnants stationed in the Sevii Isles, traversing the Unknown Dungeon and catching Mewtwo, and defeating the League again for kicks, Red announced to everyone in Pallet Town that he is going to leave Kanto and head for greener pastures.

Later that night, as Red started packing his stuff, Leaf climbed into his room through the window. After getting yelled at for sneaking into his room and asking him why he was leaving (he replied that he was getting bored of Kanto), she then offered to let him use her body as he saw fit as a bit of a going away gift.

Red accepted, telling the young girl to strip naked while he went to his bag to grab some escape rope and a ball gag. After Leaf had removed her clothes, Red then pulled her hands behind her back and tied them together, then wrapped another rope around her chest. The two then shared a kiss before Red put the ball gag into his lover's mouth.

The fun was only just beginning...

May Be Fucked Hard

It took him 6 grueling months, but at long last, Brendan had finally conquered the Hoenn gym challenge, challenged the elite four, and became the new league champion.

The next day, as he set out to Slateport City with his shiny new S.S Ticket, his next door neighbor and girlfriend May dropped by his house to tell him about the S.S Ticket she received for coming in first in the Master Rank contest in Lilycove. After realizing that the other also had an S.S Ticket, both trainers decide to head to Slateport together and board the newly built S.S Tidal as a couple.

This is what I imagine the two of them would be doing in order to "kill time" once they cleared out all the trainers on the boat and obtained all the items. It should probably be noted that this was mostly May's idea, and that Brendan mostly just went with the flow. Probably explains why he's looking pretty embarrassed right now. If the girl you had a crush on but couldn't pull up the courage to talk to in a coherent manner asked you to tie her up and fuck her in the ass, you'd have the same expression too.

EDIT: I decided to send this pic to Kuroi for coloring this week, as per the results of my "Pokegirl color" poll on DeviantArt. Credit to everyone who voted in that poll.

Grima's Bitch

Lucina in an alternate timeline after getting her ass handed to her by Grima's forces. Normally, this wouldn't be a pretty sight, except for the fact that she's been stripped naked and tied up, in which case, it is a pretty sight. Or something to that effect.

Don't know what I was thinking when I cooked up the title. Maybe it's because I'm a bit of a weirdo who comes up with vulgar names for titles. May also tie into why Hitori (unjustly) banned me from his channel.

Thankfully, Kuroi is being a good sport and is still letting me join his stream on Sunday.
